TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

The Broker — What It Is

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

His background matters. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.

What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker this new, that range is broad.

Platforms

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from the same login. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders prefer it after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That should round things out when it lands.

What You Pay

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Good for people who want simple pricing.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not for the average person. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

The speed is the thing TabTrade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.

Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

Here is the thing you need to be straight about. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It should factor into your decision.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.

Welcome Offer

TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
